Sega Digital Library is a community located in Sega Village - Siaya County , Kenya,  that has been in construction since 2018. It will serve a population of about 12,000 people whose median age is 17 years. Male median age of 15.4 years and Female Median age of 18.5 years.

The library will serve as a dynamic learning hub, providing access to books , technology and training resources. The ground floor will be a well-stocked library with a dedicated children’s section to foster a love of reading. 

Upstairs, a state of the art computer lab will offer desktops, e-books, kindles, chrome books and other digital tools to enhance education and leadership development.

By integrating technology and literacy, the library aims to empower young learners and drive lasting community change.

The upstairs floor will be used as a conference center for various training of leaders, students among other community activities.By utilizing digital platforms such as Skype, Zoom, Teams and Whats app, we will be able to offer remote training. 

This facility will bridge the knowledge gap, foster innovation and empower future leaders to drive positive change.

Need:  To purchase 8 shelves that are required for the books that will be in the library any extra will be used for purchase of more desks and chairs that are still needed to accommodate more users.

The project is to attain self sustainability in approximately one year after opening in October of 2025. The community members will be charged minimum fees for use of the facility and the funds are to be used for operations overheads of the facility estimated at around $ 300.00 monthly.
